Fruit Crisp with Pears and Blackberries

Ingredients
  • 4-6 cups prepared fruit (berries, pears, peaches, apples)
  • 1 Tbs maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup flour
  • ¼ cup oatmeal
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, almonds)
  • ¼ cup butter, cut into small chunks
  • pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350F
  2. Gently toss the fruit with maple syrup and vanilla and pour into a baking dish.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  4. Using your fingers, mash the butter into the flour mixture until there isn't any loose flour.
  5. Sprinkle over the fruit.
  6. Place baking dish on a sheet pan and bake for 30-45 minutes, until the fruit is bubbling and the topping is golden brown.
