Fruit Crisp with Pears and Blackberries

- 4-6 cups prepared fruit (berries, pears, peaches, apples)
- 1 Tbs maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup flour
- ¼ cup oatmeal
- ¼ cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, almonds)
- ¼ cup butter, cut into small chunks
- pinch of salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 350F
- Gently toss the fruit with maple syrup and vanilla and pour into a baking dish.
- Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Using your fingers, mash the butter into the flour mixture until there isn't any loose flour.
- Sprinkle over the fruit.
- Place baking dish on a sheet pan and bake for 30-45 minutes, until the fruit is bubbling and the topping is golden brown.
