Ideally, the oven should be at 400F, but any hot oven will work, it just might take longer than 30 minutes. You can unwrap the foil to peek at the garlic occasionally.
Ingredients
Whole head of garlic
1 Tbls olive oil
salt
tin foil
Instructions
Remove all the papery skins off the head of garlic
cut about ½ inch off the top, exposing the tops of each clove
Set in a square of tin foil and drizzle with olive oil and a pinch of salt
Wrap the foil around the head, twisting the top to seal it
Bake about 30 minutes.
It is done when the cloves are a carmel color and soft like butter.
