A lion costume for my little guy- “Rawrrrrr!!!”

I used this McCall’s lion costume pattern, which was really fast and easy… except for the glueing of 10,000 pieces of ribbon!  I fell in love with the little elephant costume, but the lion costume was just more appropriate for his personality.   The ribbons took some time, but my in-laws were visiting, so I had them cut and glue.  Allow at least 2 days for this process, the results are beautiful and definitely worth it!

The best thing about making your own Halloween costumes is that you can practice sewing a garment that doesn’t have to be perfect!  If you are a beginner sewer, buy a pattern and give it a try!

Take a peek into my world of Eating, Gardening, Making and Mothering, authentically and with meaning. Thanks for visiting!
