Applesauce Canning Class

Home / Recipes / Canning/Preserving / Applesauce Canning Class

This is the last class of my Fall Canning Series!  I decided to move the applesauce class to Friday, October 17th, which happens to be the 1 year anniversary of The Patchy Lawn.  Making applesauce is quintessential fall canning, and I’ve got loads of ripe, organic apples from old, dry-farmed Cobb Mountain trees.  We’ll also be drawing the winner of the Anniversary Give-Away treats.  Come help me celebrate!

All About Applesauce Canning Class

Naked applesauce (no sugar), with all kinds of different variations, like adding sweet raspberries or vanilla beans… I’ll let you decide!

I will teach you the principals of canning, then we will get to work with some hands-on experience.  You will also be able to take home a few jars of what you make.  I will provide everything, you just need to show up with a smile.

This class will run approximately 3 hours, though please allow for extra time, just in case.

Friday, October 17th, 10am.
Class fee $20

Private Canning Lessons

I am still available for private canning lessons and classes either in your home or mine.  Pears and apples are abundant this time of year, and we can also make jam with my stash of frozen blackberries from the summer.   Just let me know if you are interested!

Take a peek into my world of Eating, Gardening, Making and Mothering, authentically and with meaning. Thanks for visiting!
