Lemon, Cucumber & Mint Infused Vodka

Home / Recipes / From the Garden / Lemon, Cucumber & Mint Infused Vodka

Whew, it’s HOT!  Nothing makes a heat wave more tolerable than cool, refreshing cocktails, am I right?  How about an ice-cold “clinker” with lemon, cucumber and mint infused vodka, with a splash of sparking mineral water?  Is it 5:00 yet?

Infused vodka is truly special, and crazy-easy to make.  All you do is add fruit/herbs/veggies to vodka and let it sit.  That’s it!

Lemon, Cucumber & Mint Infused Vodka

These ingredients make me think of fancy “spa water”, with with a buzz, which is just what I need when we get into triple digit heat.

Lemons + Cucumbers + Mint = Cooling, Calming, Relaxing and Refreshing

You can infuse vodka or gin with just about anything, fruits are really fun, so are herbs.  Prepare the ingredients by washing and slicing, and put into a canning jar.  Then, pour in the vodka.  Don’t worry about buying expensive vodka, all you’ll be tasting is the infusion.

Lemons and Cucumbers

I’m planning on drinking this tonight with some girlfriends, so I put it in the fridge to chill.  You can infuse longer, with say, berries or chopped fruit.  Just set the jar in a dark corner of the kitchen and give it a shake now and then.  After about a week, strain the fruit off the vodka and use to make some fancy cocktails.
